Pinot Noir Reserve
The 2016 vintage of our Chateau Elan Pinot Noir shows dark, dusty red in the glass. Inviting aromas of pepper, porcini mushroom, wild flowers and currant greet the nose. Lightly tannic, bright, dryish medium body and an intricate, medium-long wet earth, eucalyptus, rose and black pepper, and sponge cake with dried cassis finish with medium, earthy tannins and a suggestion of oak. A concentrated Pinot Noir with complex hedonistic flavors.
Aged in new French oak barrels for 7 months, this wine has not been fined nor stabilized and only saw a very subtle filtration utilized to brighten up the color. It has a very low sulfite content, zero residual sugar and 14.2% of alcohol.
