Mameli is the author and composer of the Italian national anthem. This wine represents a balanced symphony made by the blend of 3 noble Italian grape varieties (37% Barbera – 33% Nebbiolo – 30% Montepulciano).
Grapes grown in sandy soil of Paso Robles (Nebbiolo), Woodlands (Barbera) and volcanic soil in Lake County (Montepulciano), harvested between the 20th of September and the 20th of October 2014. It aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels from the forests of Limousin, Jupilles and Allier in France. Unfiltered and untreated, we bottled 649 cases.
Mameli has a deep, brick red color. Intense accents of leather, blueberry, raspberry, dry straw and saddle. On the palate, it has a big entrance, bright acidity, big structure, long tannin and a long finish with an after taste of ginger and red fruits.
